Tanhurst Estate – Vineyard / Café / Wildlife / Holiday Cottages
Tanhurst Estate Vineyard Café is located at Birketts Farm, Tanhurst Lane, RH5 6LZ before the lane ascends steeply up Leith Hill. It is a gentle walk from Forest Green Village, either along the lane or the Public Footpaths via either The Mill, Etherley Copse, or the Rhododendron Wood where you can pick up their Permissive Path which crosses fields and emerges directly opposite the Birketts Farm entrance.
Tanhurst sells artisan wines by the glass or bottle, developed with their Italian winemaker, and offer fine coffees from a blend selected from Chimney Fire Coffee, as well as other hot and cold drinks and snacks which will be developed over time. Their main purpose is to produce fine English Wines, undertaken in their purpose-built winery, and they will be offering tours & tastings as part of several vineyard experiences they are developing from 2025. They can also be an event venue, or accommodate friends or relatives of locals in their holiday cottages or converted barns on Holmbury Road, Tanhurst Lane, or Leith Hill Road.
Amenities: Parking, Accessible WCs with baby changing, Bike Racks and Charging Socket, EV Charging, Dog-Friendly. The opening hours will in due course extend beyond the existing 10am till 2pm window on Saturdays.
